let me get pretentious for a moment, i want to talk about my artistic journey and inspirations.

in general, im very inspired by postmodern and contemporary art, as well as historical queer art.
despite being a 2D visual artist (mostly), i also get a TON of inspiration from film, music, and animation. here's a small collection of works and/or artists i really connect to artistically:

jean boullet / keith haring

jenny holzer / piet mondrian

the shape of water (2017)

love lies bleeding (2024)

arcane (2021)

to the left is the first drawing i ever made that was in the werewolf style that i hold very dear to me now. drawn late 2022

i drew it after being very inspired by this article on queeringarthuriana.wordpress.com
im really not sure why this style specifically came out of me. i'd never worked much in lineless before this, either. but it never went away.

buuut to be honest, i should say that really the inspiration for all of my werewolf related debauchery is Chetney Pock O'Pea of Critical Role fame because him being a werewolf is what jump started my obsession with them. but thats not as cool and artsy.
here's my first drawing of him, drawn late 2022. it's also my first drawing of a werewolf. more motivated by monster energy fueled autism hyperfixation than any kind of particular artistic drive, so it feels like it doesn't count, lol
take me home
